Hey y'all, just thought I'd offer some tips in case you are having trouble with the game. There are a lot of QoL features we didn't have time to implement, so some mechanics may be unclear:

  1. The statues offer some tips on gameplay as well as some fun flavor, be sure to read them when you spot them! But also, sometimes the statue text may appear multiple times...
  2. Pressing Q will whistle for the goat. The long whistle sound effect means you are calling the goat to follow you. If the goat bleats in response, you are too far for it to find you, and must get closer. The short whistle means you are telling the goat to stop and wait. In order to complete an area and move on to the next you must interact (press E) with the shrine at the end of the area while the goat is following you. If you activate a shrine with the goat next to you and nothing happens, try whistling once so the goat follows, and try again.
  3. The dialogue choices are pretty flat in their current state, as we only had time to implement a few variations to the loop. Right now the choice is basically to alter the game loop, or do nothing. I would recommend choosing the first dialogue option for each choice, so that you can see the changes on the next iteration of the game loop.

I would recommend playing through the loop at least twice (est. 10-15mins) to be able to see the core game loop mechanic, or three times (20-30mins) if you want to see everything. There are some spooky mechanics in the forest that are only available on the third loop.

We really appreciate anyone who takes the time to try our game! If you do please drop us a comment and let us know your thoughts!
